Good food good service the bands are good

Went here for a family gathering, place is nice and located in a spot that's easy to get to. Had a great time, the food was good and drinks were great. Definitely a place we will come back to.

Good food. Pretty fast during lunch hours

It always smell like a sewer back up here, which takes away from the food and drink taste. The food is pretty good, but the smell really detracts from the experience.

We had a class reunion there. Food was outstanding. The best German pot roast I've ever eaten. Atmosphere was perfect for our group of 50people. Staff was attentive and friendly. Loved it.

When I first walked in I had a really low standards the atmosphere was of a really older crowd the carpet and decor is aged. However, once we were sit down I listen to the music being played on the piano by an older man which was amazing he did a fantastic job our server was super nice and the food was absolutely amazing!! This place is absolutely one of those don’t judge a book by its cover!!

This is a great place right downtown. It has three levels. The prices are reasonable and the food was great. I had the opportunity to go there with some friends so we had a really good time just visiting hanging out and there was no problem with us taking our time.I was visiting from out of town but the locals there all knew each other and it was apparent that it was like a cheers environment. Great place!

Messed up reservation but fixed it immediately when I came to check in.

The food was standard (mediocre) bar food. I liked the onion rings. I have only been in on Saturdays, so I can't speak to the rest of the week. I like the karaoke, but it can be a pretty redundant selection, especially if they are slow and the host sings every other song. I like the deck and air to escape the cramped interior. The bartender was pretty nice. When they have a dj, it is more fun. Twenty drunks singing Sweet Caroline at last call is a funny sight.

Excellent bar staff and nice pub feel. Good prices too.

Customer service was excellent, the food left a bit to be desired though, the beanie weenies and the swedish meatball were so mushy it looked like they had been simmering all day. The atmosphere was great, the bartender was very skilled. The only other thing that was a bit off was the smell in the stairwell, it smelled like sulfur.

Cindy is the best barkeep in town.

We were in the banquet room. Very nice. Lots of seating. Everything seemed clean and staff was nice.

Great place to have lunch with friends

A neat old-school bar with alright food. Unfortunately, the building seems to have some sort of sewer problem & can get smelly at times.

Note: only restroom is upstairs. Not handicap accessible. Large menu variety with good prices!Karaoke often, some light live music often. In summer they have a dj or band outside upstairs.

1st time ever going here our friends rented the banquet room for their wedding and we had the roast beef and pork chops... it wasn't all that

Good food and responsible prices

Love this bar! Just seeing the old solid wood bar was a treat in itself! An old, warm, friendly atmosphere that was very welcoming! The food was good to!

Bones is great but the music upstairs always sucks and down stairs is kind of cramped. If they would switch the stuff they do up stairs and down stairs this would probably be a 5 star place.

Fun but not very big for large groups.

I love the atmosphere, but the bouncer would not let me back in to see my ride and I was just a 21 year old little blonde girl left drunk and stranded out in the middle of the night confused and distressed without a ride. I consider this very poor service. However, the bartenders offered me extremely excellent service and I was very very happy with this.

Well. It was okay food. For a Friday night it was pretty dead. But it took forever to get our food. There was at least an hour between the appetizer and the main course..

Bones is a fun place to drink at, but you never really know what the crowd will be like... the deck is huge and relaxing.

I'v eaten here before was good then went today around 4pm food was undesirable. The cook was drinking on the job. The bartender was friendly and good service.

Great food, and great staff!

The occasion was a 61st class reunion dinner. The buffet line included a delicious chicken cordon blue, and a huge pork chop too tough to chew or eat. And one server for 26 classmates and significant others. Because we were happy to see each other and conversations included word about friends no longer with us, no one really cared about the food or the scarcity of dessert pies. However, except for another reunion gathering, I would NOT return to eat at Bones. Especially since there are several good eating establishments within a block of this dark tavern in the alley.

Very quaint and fun!

First time ordering from here. (Delivery) Half of my mushrooms and onion rings were burnt. I will order again at a later date, in hopes that they were just having an off night.

I came here the other day and ordered the clam chowder and hot ham n cheess and lets just say it was scrumptious the clam chowder had flavor and the hot ham and cheese tasted like my grandma made it! To top off the amazing food the service was just as amazing... There was this older gentleman working behind the bar i believe his name is don and told me so many interesting stories! I will be back for sure

Best place to chill out for a beer and eat in Jefferson City, Missouri with the best manager. I know as my band use to work for him many nights.

Had a wonderful New Year's meal there!!

Best place in town for small unique family like environment

I am doing something that deserves to be done, I recently visited Bones again after about 14 or so months and I must say, the improvements on the PM shift is noticeable and appreciated, the food is exactly what you would expect for a mid west bar and grill, the stand out menu item is a battered pork sandwich that if size alone impresses you than your in for a doozie!!! Huge is an understatement, the taste is good, better with bbq!!! Bon-appitete!!

Very nice meal layed out help yourself. We drank non alcoholic but anyone that wanted them could buy them. Parking was tight but not there long enough to cost us.
